As of 2016, the company has finally made an official appearance in the Auckland Fine Food Show at the Auckland ASB Showgrounds. NIUE Vanilla International (NVI) has always maintained an active involvement in overseas food exhibitions, representing Pacific Island business and the region’s potential to develop competitive premium brands. NVI has also traveled to Paris and Milan in previous years to exhibit the company’s products to the European target markets. Given the current affiliation between Niue and New Zealand, it has always been an important task for the company to participate in the Fine Food Shows within New Zealand and to establish a more direct and local marketing approach. In terms of demand, New Zealand is the closest and biggest market for the company from it’s headquarters in Alofi North, Niue Island. According to our managing director“this is the first of many more exhibitions that NVI will be directly involved within New Zealand”. The company has also reached a stage that the NIUE Vanilla Organic brand has been considerably marketed in Australia. Therefore the time has never been more appropriate to start the same marketing process in New Zealand where it is closer to home.
Highlight of the event:
Renowned chef and author Robert Oliver conducted a live cooking demonstration using one of NVI’s products as a highlighted ingredient of his dish. This opportunity also allowed our managing director a moment during the presentation to directly address the Auckland Fine Food audience and establish the first steps of cultivating a relationship with the New Zealand market.
